By the way, this is amazing work and I plan on buying a copy. Quite the unique style you have here.
Thanks, though! Great to know that you're interested!
Anyway, your panels definitely flowed well, and I liked looking at each of them! The perspectives you used were interesting, like in the panel where the guy's hitting Chie with the rolled-up newspaper. The backgrounds were very nice and detailed, too! You hardly left any just white, which I thought was really cool. I also liked how you used screen tones. A lot of mangas I've read overuse them (especially shoujo, ugh), but you definitely didn't. And that leads me to a question: Did you ink this digitally or manually? Besides the tones and lettering, I mean.
You also have an interesting drawing style! It's very detailed! It sort of reminds me of "Mushi-Shi" and "Cowboy Bebop," though that's not why I like it.
The story was interesting, too. I was sort of sad to see it end... But you ended the preview at a good place. We learn just enough about the characters, and that cliffhanger definitely makes the reader want to see more. (I know I want to...) That was good, seeing as you want to sell it.
Again, great manga! I really enjoyed reading it and looking at the artwork. This manga gave me some ideas and I learned a few things for when I make my own in the future.
Everything is inked manually, only the tones and lettering are added in Photoshop.
You plan to draw comics too? That's cool, it's really good news when I manage to inspire other people to draw! I wish luck for your future projects!
Uh, what I meant was that you have such great skills at making a manga, I figured that you would call it something more than a "hobby." (Wow, inked by hand? That's really good!) Sorry if I offended you in any way. Or if what I just said didn't make sense...
Yeah, I plan on making a doujin sometime in the near future. This comic was definitely an inspiration!
I get your point, no offense taken... but this isn't really my job either, so I'd rather call it a hobby. Less pressure that way, too.
Looking forward to seeing your doujin!
