Ehh. I had something of a personal conflict about my style not being original enough so I wanted to experiment a little.
I was going for a western cartoon influence with strong visual statements but well... I need to try again :D It's the exact same stuff with slightly different proportions. I still like the semirealistic manga aesthetic too much to stray far enough from it, goddamnit.

And I really need to simplify Jon's uniform if I ever plan to have it in a comic. It's a pain in the ass.

*giggles* I adore your whole style, sorry. I fell in love with it even before I joined DA.

This is really great though, eye-catching with the colors and feel it gives, plus the hardened cuteness. I can understand having conflicts on personal flair.I feel like I still have quite a bit to polish on my own. I'll sit at my desk for hours sketching something that everyone thinks is really good..and in a bit, into the trash it goes. :/ I guess it's just learning how to balance the way you push yourself...?

Draw whatever you are comfortable with. It's a lot easier and less stressful than trying to reconstruct yourself.

You've got a point there... yet I can't help but feel that I'm supposed to reinvent or outdo my stuff with every damn picture. Ambition is hell and I'm certainly forgetting the fun part here :D

... Your style is original. At least I think it's original. It's noticeable if you draw something.
While I think this picture is rather cute, I have to tell you I like your usual style better. Because it's awesome. This one's more like cutsie-pie style.
